Redispersible Polymer Powder (VAE RDP) is produced through a controlled process starting with emulsion polymerization of monomers such as vinyl acetate, ethylene, or acrylates, stabilized with emulsifiers and protective colloids like polyvinyl alcohol. The resulting aqueous polymer dispersion is then transformed into a free-flowing powder by spray drying, where hot air rapidly removes water and the protective colloid prevents the particles from sticking together. When re-mixed with water, RDP redisperse into their original emulsion, delivering adhesion, flexibility, and enhanced performance in dry-mix mortars, adhesives, and plasters.
RDP is a paper-plastic composite package with a net weight of 25 kg. For long-term storage, it should be fireproof and rainproof, and avoid contact with humid environments.
